Ghanaian Judge killed in Saudi Arabia

A Ghanaian judge was killed in Mecca, Saudi Arabia during this year’s Hajj, it has been reported.

Police in Saudi Arabia are said to be investigating the death of Justice Mohammed Goodman Nabon, who was knocked down by a car.

Justice Goodman Nabon, 59,  was among over four thousand Ghanaians who embarked on this year’s pilgrimage to Mecca.

The death of Justice Nabon brings to five the number of Ghanaians who have died during this year’s pilgrimage.

Amin Lamptey, deputy Communications Director for the Hajj committee told Accra-based Starr FM that the Saudi government was still investigating how the 59-year-old Kumasi High Court judge was knocked down by the car.

The judge, according to reports, has since been buried in accordance with Islamic customs.
