The Porcupine Warriors defender has signed for a Guinea top-flight side after the expiration of his contract
Former Asante Kotoko left-back Ben Adama Bahn has officially signed for Conakry-based club AS Kaloum Stars in a one year deal.
The 31-year-old Ivorian international joined Asante Kotoko in 2012 and opted to take a new challenge after his contract ended on August 1, despite persuasion by the Kotoko management to extend it.
Adama believe it is time to take up a new challenge in a different environment after winning almost every trophy in the west African country.
“Kotoko is a big team with great history but I think I’ve to move on to a different country for a different challenge,†Adama told Kumasi-based Fox FM. “They wanted to sign me on a long term but I opted for one year, it wasn’t easy though but after pulling some strings everything went through and I’m very happy now.â€
“I didn’t know they have been monitoring me in the Ghana Premier League, it was a surprise to me when the club’s management disclosed a lot about me and my former team [Kotoko].The money is also good so I think all will be well here,†Adama said.
He won two Ghana top-flight league titles and one FA Cup title with Asante Kotoko.
