As the New Patriotic Party NPP prepares to hold its parliamentary primaries come 13th June 2015, the Brong Ahafo Regional General Secretary of the NPP, Alfred Ofori Annye urged parliamentary aspirants and the electorate to remain calm and abide by the rules and regulations governing the upcoming election to be supervised by the Electoral Commission of Ghana. Speaking to Develop Ghana Newspaper, Mr. Annye revealed that, the register for presidential elections album will be opened for eligible electorates to cast their votes from 8am to 0300 hours on Saturday. According to him, the election is to take place in all the 29 constituencies in the region. He was quick to add that the MP for Sunyani West, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Jaman North, Siaka Steven as well as Asutifi North, Joseph Daha Benhazin are to go unopposed. In case of any natural disaster like rain, the voting processes will be postponed to the following day while voters are not to take mobile phones and cameras along when casting their ballots with the aim of capturing whom they voted for, he added. Mr. Annye revealed that the police have been informed and notified of some Constituencies were security should be tightened to prevent chaos. Eligible voters include constituency executives, electoral area coordinators, polling station executives, eight founding members, patrons, Council of Elders and where there is an MP he is also eligible to vote, he stated.
