The Headmaster of the Little Angles Early Childhood Development Center, (LAECDC), Duodu Daniel, has called on Parents and guardians to hournor their responsibility of paying school fees with a little more seriousness. According to him, most of the parents are in huge arrears of school fees, saying if this continues, they will find it difficult to pay their teachers to motivate them give of their best. Mr. Daniel was speaking at the 19th Graduation Ceremony at the school premises in Nkwabeng near Sunyani in the Brong-Ahafo Region. Mr. Daniel stressed the need for early childhood education in the modern era. He said the childhood education will help the children to learn simple and basic things in life and equally develop them mentally. Mr. Daniel gave a brief history of the school that, it was established in 1995 with total number of five pupils, and has gone through a lot of transformations to get to its present state. He said the current population of the student is 120 with ten teaching staff and has trained about 1,700 pupils since its establishment. As part of their ceremony, there was a poetry recital, recitation of bible verses, poems and proverbs. There was singing and dancing as well. Twenty pupils got promoted to primary one at the event. Speaking to the PTA Chairman of the Little Angles Early Childhood Development Center, Addo Baffoh advised parents to nurture the children with good moral principles to help them achieve their academic ambitions. He also charged the parents to invest more in their children education. Mr. Baffoh entreated parents to pay their childrenâ€™s school fees to help in the effective running of the school.
