The Sunyani Circuit Court â€œAâ€ Presided over by His Honor Emmanuel Atsu Lodoh, has sentenced one Bright Kwesi Yeboah age 21 to 20 years imprisonment for attempting to rob one John Amankwah Bediako at Nkwabeng a suburb of Sunyani near the SSNIT House. The Bono Ahafo Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police Service, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah in an interview with Develop Ghana Newspaper in Sunyani revealed that, the suspect Bright Kwesi Yeboah went to John Bediakoâ€™sÂ house and unlocked his door around 12 pm while he was not around and stole one â€™Bushâ€™ DVD player valued at eight hundred Ghana cedis, one Siemens laptop also valued at one thousand Ghana cedis, one Hitachi Disc player valued at five hundred Ghana cedis and Cash of one thousand 688 Ghana cedis. ASP Tawiah continued that while Bright was stealing the items, Bediako unexpectedly returned home and found his room unlocked with Bright standing with the things he stole. Upon screams by Bediako, Bright bolted with the items while firing warning shots. According to ASP Tawiah Bright was arrested by the people in the vicinity when he run out of bullets. The Police were given a tipoff that the people in the vicinity were lynching Bright and went to his rescue. ASP Tawiah further stated that, Bright was sent to the hospital for treatment due to the serious injuries he sustained from the lynching. After Bright was discharged, he was arranged before Sunyani Circuit Court â€™Aâ€™ which led to his sentencing.
