The CEO of DKM Micro Finance Company, Dr. Martin Delle, has announced that following the expiration of the about four month long Bank of Ghana moratorium on its operations, the firm will open for business at all its branches from the 22nd September.  He also asked Customers who are due to receive their investments to be patient as Agents of the DKM will call them individually with payment schedules.  Dr. Delle who was speaking at a News Conference in Sunyani also announced that henceforth its interest rates on deposits will have to be approved by the Bank of Ghana. DKM, the biggest of the about ten micro finance companies and fun clubs which had their operations suspended by the Bank of Ghana for flouting regulations is set resume operation and this is bound to bring great relief to thousands of customers who have had their monies locked up due to action of the BOG.  The CEO of DKM, Dr. Martin Delle, who was flanked by other Directors of the Company, thanked their customers for their patience during their suspension and assured them that they are back to fulfill all obligations to them.  The CEO was equally grateful to the Bank of Ghana, stressing that scrutiny of their operations have made them a better organization.  He further pledged their readiness to abide by all regulations governing the operation of non-bank financial institutions, while implementing all recommendation s that came out of the independent audit of their operations.  He revealed that the BOG is set to defreeze their accounts on the 18th hence their decision to resume full scale operations on the 22nd of September.  The DKM boss also heaped praises on the Bono-Ahafo Regional Minister, Eric Opoku for the role he played in the speedy resolution of the matter.  About four months ago the operations of DKM, along with other Micro finance Companies and Fun Clubs were suspended by the Bank of Ghana for flouting various regulations.  This act sent a lot of their customers into serious trouble, making them make incessant calls to the Central Bank and the Government of Ghana to take action to relive them. It was not until the Minister for Local Government, Alhaji Collins Dauda and the Bono-Ahafo Regional Minister were attacked by irate customers of the affected firms at Nkoranza that action was taken.
